I’ve been dealing with a lot of
negativity and stress in my life lately. And I am one of those people that
likes to take control, in a good way, and try to make everything better. I want
people to see the world through rose colored glasses; or at least just be
truthful, honest, and clean.
We all talk about these diets to
clean our insides, and drinks we need to take to detox; what about cleansing
our souls? Why don’t we focus on that? Why aren’t we honest and truthful with those
around us, about errors or mistakes we’ve made in our lives? Why do we stack
lie upon lie upon lie; making the rest of the world look like incompetent
fools, or those that have possibly lost their minds, trying to explain to
people the truth?
If you are so ashamed of what you
have done, then why did you do it? If you can’t be honest with yourself, or
those around you; then how do you expect people to trust you or believe in you?
Why can’t you set a good example, or start with yourself. I feel that people
have forgotten the true meaning of honesty:
hon·es·ty
[on-uh-stee]
NOUN [PLURAL
HON·ES·TIES.]
1. the
quality or fact of being honest; uprightness and fairness.
2. truthfulness,
sincerity, or frankness.
3. freedom
from deceit or fraud.
Instead of the outside of yourself,
start with the inside of yourself. Start purging there. The outside of your
self doesn’t look very attractive, no matter how pretty your skin is, how
gorgeous your hair is, or how in shape you are, if your soul is a mess. Star purifying
there.
So, with having to overcome a lot of
negativity, I have learned that a lot of people can’t be changed; even though
they certainly need to change. They can’t admit their flaws, or their
wrong-doings. They just brush it under the rug and keep moving forward,
regardless of who they hurt or damage along the way.
Therefore, I have learned to focus
on the positive in the world. Remind myself of all the good the world has to
offer. How extremely blessed I am. And of all the wonderful decision I have
made in my life. And that I have no regrets, and not for one minute am I ashamed
to tell anyone in my life one thing I have done, or not done.
I have learned to teach myself to “be
positive”. I know that sounds silly that I must “teach” myself to be positive,
but unfortunately, in today’s world, it is easier to fall into the “grumpy”
category and all the negativity that is going on in the world, or in your
world; but to keep reminding yourself, just exactly what you are blessed with
each and every day.
And to not allow the negative to
seep in and take control of your life, your happiness, or your well-being.
Because it’s true, stress, and sadness can bring you down and make you
unhealthy. So, don’t let those naysayers be the reason you are sick or
unhealthy.
It’s their path of destruction they
chose, not yours. Stay strong, and stay positive:
